ACCREDITED PROGRAM

Here at Blue Stone Medical & Professional, we offer a Certificate III Individual Support Ageing course, which assists students in Rockhampton, Yatala and Gladstone to pursue a career in the community service's industry.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Our Certificate III Individual Support Ageing course provides students with the knowledge, skills and training necessary to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) or personal care assistant (PCA) in the disability sector, as a community support worker or a community care worker, among various other professions as well.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

There are no prerequisite requirements for this Certificate III Individual Support Ageing course. It is essential, however, for students to possess the ability to read, speak and understand English effectively, as these skills are an integral part of the course learning process. All participants in this course are required to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test to ascertain if assistance is required before commencement. Participants are also required to pass a police check. We actively encourage anyone who meets the language, literacy and numeracy requirements to consider the benefits of this course.

DELIVERY METHODS

At Blue Stone Medical & Professional, we understand that each student is unique, we try and accommodate the needs of each student. Subsequently, we offer a variety of delivery methods to choose from, including:

Face to face - 3 days per week for 12-14 weeks
Face to face - 2 days per week for 12-16 weeks
Flexible delivery via correspondence - up to 52 weeks duration plus a minimum of 120 clinical placement hours in an Aged Care Facility
Mixed Mode/Blended delivery
User Choice Traineeship

FUNDED COURSES

If you are over the age of 15, do not currently possess a certificate III or higher qualification, are not currently enrolled in secondary school and you are a permanent resident of Queensland - you may qualify for financial assistance from the Certificate III Guarantee for subsidised training by Queensland Department of Education and Training.

COURSE FEES

Our course fees vary depending on whether you require the concessional or non-concessional course. Our course fees are as follows:

Concessional: $100.00 (co-contribution fee from student)
Non Concessional: $200.00 (co-contribution fee from student)

There is also a face to face/flexible fee for our “Fee for Services” Courses. There is a $500 deposit required on enrolment with the offer of a Payment Plan for the outstanding balance. There is a $50 uniform fee and a $50 police check fee if required. Text book fee is $110.

VACCINATION CERTIFICATE

Blue Stone Medical & Professional advises all new students enrolling into our HLT23221 / CHC33021 / HLT35021 must ensure that their COVID and FLU vaccinations are current, and we ask every student to provide a copy of their vaccination certificate for student records. We also require students going out on clinical placement, to have a current police check and blue card.

If participants do not already have one of these checks in place, student services can assist in obtaining a police check during the enrolment process and assist through Blue Card Services their Blue Card.

Refund Policy

Should Blue Stone Medical fail to provide a course for whatever reason, enrolled students are protected and will receive a full refund within 14 days of notifying the student in writing of course cancellation. Fees may be transferred to another Blue Stone Medical course by providing written notification of enrolment cancellation 28 days before course commencement date.

Course fees are non-transferrable to another student. Refunds/transfers for cancellation made outside of these timeframes for medical/compassionate reasons will be decided on a case-by-case basis and will require appropriate documentation (medical certificate)
